Hello to all the VJ members,

My other half lives in Mexico and I wonder what everyone else uses to call there...
I am interested on finding out cheap ways to call a cellphone.. My bf does not have a housephone so
cell is the only option for me
Right now I am using the rates thru onesuite.com and it cost me . 26 cent/min to call a cell..which is killing me

Thanks for your suggestions good.gif

The best news I've gotten in a long time was that now when calling Mexican cell phones, the person receiving the call doesn't pay anything. We only communicated by text before that, as his credit was eaten up so quickly when I called him.

If you have a cell phone, check to see if the company doesn't have a discount dialing plan. I've got TMobile and pay five dollars a month for discount dialing and I'm only charged 5 cents a minute to call him.

It's worked out REALLY well and we talk a lot more often now.

My wife is in mexico as well (yay! interview is February 26!), and for the last 2 years I use telephone cards for $5.00. If I call her to her house phone, I can use the card for about 3 to 4 hours. If I call to her cell phone, the card works for about an hour and 1/2. My cell phone company has an international rate that charges .09 a minute to mexico, regardless of whether its to a cell phone or house phone. That's not to terribly expensive, and in a pinch, I'll just call from my cell. Hope that works out for you.
