I believe AOS form is like $400 fee. Ok , no problem, how long does it usually take for an "AOS?" My husb 2 be father is old and just had stroke a few months ago. I want to make sure he can travel back to Philippines just in case his dad really needs him. Does he fill out the AOS and Advance parole as soon as he gets admitted to United states? Is he able to do the advance parole just to have it , "just in case" and also if we want to travel!? we love travelling.
It is hard to say how long AOS will take. Times vary on here and if you look at others timelines you'll see what I mean. As for AP, it's a good thing to apply for it. We did, and we were approved fairly quick. My husband's AP is for multiple use too. We stated that he needed it in case of a family emergency...he does have a grandfather who has health issues. We love travelling too but we're reserving it for that *just in case* emergency. You fill out AOS, EAD (if he wants to work), and the AP, submitting them all at the same time with separate checks for each.
