hi everyone. i havent posted in a long time. my ma was moving and didnt have net for a little bit.................................ive been in ny since dec 5th. i was going to stay here on a semi perm basis but i cant. i have to go to lebanon again to be with my husband. i cant take not living with him. regardless of how much we fight because of the stress id rather be there with him! sooooooo im leaving for lebanon next friday. i cant wait to hold him again next saturday night!! way excited! i prolly wont be back stateside again until mid October. we shall see. its pretty expensive coming and going so much. will def use round trip tickets from now on for sure! not sure when geo is going to Saudi to work, that is still in the works and when he does ill be in lebanon with his family for a few mths while he gets my visa ready.......no problem. i just need to see him now!.......alrighty take care. missin yall!

My fiance left for Alexandria just a bit ago and he won't be back til Monday evening. He got online for 5 minutes before he left so he could say goodbye. I cried after he logged off. I'm such a big baby. *sigh*

Today was the day I should have left for my trip to Egypt (before it was postponed). I checked ticket prices last night and if I don't go til the beginning of April, ticket prices go up to 1800 bucks!!! If we can get me there in February/March, tickets will still go for about 1100. Insha'Allah we'll get the tickets for Feb/March cos I don't think we can afford the 1800 and I'm gonna go crazy if I don't get to Egypt soon.

And no three day weekend for me. My workplace is waaaay too cheap to give us Monday off.

Morning all woke up in the storm still, turned on the tv, Good Morning America doing the weather from here, great way to make the news!!! Calm for now but more to move in i see, now if i could just get in the "clean the house" mood and turn off computer might make good of the long weekend. Have a good day, stay warm.

Good morning all! I forgot last night that I had to work this morning. Good thing I had my alarm still set. It already started out as a good weekend. Last night I went to my new gym. It was kinda fun. I didn't bring my iPod so I had to listen to their music. Let me tell you, I will remember my iPod from now on. I love being at an all women's gym. There are a lot of muslimahs that work out their too. Anyway, day 1 of my new lifestyle. So far so good. I don't know what I am going to do for lunch, but I am thinking a salad sounds good.

My best friend is flying back into Philly tonight. But the bad thing is that her plane lands in the middle of the Eagles game! So I am hoping that I will be able to find the radio station that has the game on it. Well it will be nice having her here from the weekend again. She's going to come work out with me tomorrow morning. Oh yeah, and did I mention, she's moving here! Yay! It'll be Thelma and Louise together again! And this time she'll be living even closer than when we were in the dorms in college. She's going to be my downstairs neighbor! Anyway, I have a feeling that she will be going through the visa process in the next year or two also.

Anyway, I have to get going. I have a few things I want to look up about PCOS. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Check Lufthansa's WeFlyHome prices . . . looks like you can get a ticket for about $1200 in April (cheapest, non-refundable of course, $200 to change it). Of course, with these fares, you mostly have to fly on Tues/Wed/Thurs. I am checking flights for April myself . . .

My sister called for a weather report because the BIL is driving my niece back to College Station from Northwest Arkansas today . . . . told her they better scoot!!! They ARENT planning on driving thru OKLA (the bane of my existence, hehe, I've done the "ice-driving" on I-40 during the holidays trips . . . so why did I have an accident on a sunny, dry, beautiful day???).

Have you researched priceline bidding at all? I haven't checked it out yet but betterbidding.com always has good info on how to bid on that site for different things. I got a 5 star Hotel in NYC for about $40/night at one time and a 3 star in Disney, though not a Disneylabel hotel for $20/night. You may not like the flight schedule but heck it'll be cheaper than buying full price. I'd check it out. I'm planning on doing that if I am able to go this summer insha Allah.

That's pretty cheap. I just compared the same dates, departing Jun 28 and returning Jul 7, and on priceline it was $1,378 or something and on the link you gave it was $1,400. The priceline was alitalia though which I have found not to have a good reputation, though I personally have never flown them. I'll have to keep that llink in mind if my kids will let me go away this summer. I'd love to spend a week alone with him in alexandria.





I'm supposed to be cleaning my house too. So far today I woke up at 11, got out of bed at 12, made cinnamon toast and coffee and have been sitting here for two hours. My kids are coming home at 6pm and doesn't look like much is getting done between now and then. I just wanna lie on the couch and do nothing.

No kidding on the naps!! They're gonna have a BIG culture shock when they get here I tell ya!!! Unless the pollution there just makes them tired, in which case they'll be fine since you don't need a gas mask to live here.

Yeah I might just do one load of laundry since I'm out of underwear and call it a day. rofl. My oldest is into bribery lately so maybe I'll pay her to clean up the living room and kitchen.

There's something to be said for owning about 20+ pairs of undies.

I think the pollution probably does have alot to do with how tired they are. I know that my fiance didn't nap as much when he was living in Hurghada and wasn't as tired.

ok load of whites in the washer and the house is "de-cluttered". Haven't pledged the tables yet and don't know if I will. I'm amazed that I have all the windows open today. Feels good to air out the house when I'm sick. I'm envisioning all the germs going outside. Don't know what temp it is outside but feels like low 50's which is so freaky since it was in the 20's the last couple of days.

My heart goes out to all those in the midst of these freaky storms.

it's dang hot here today - 77degrees!!! Cold front moving in by Tuesday and we'll be back into the 30s-40s... can you say sinus attack??? Our trip to the farmer's mkt was fun, then we walked around downtown for awhile and up on the levee. Strawberries are beautiful already, so we bought 1/2 flat and then got Cool Whip & shortcakes for later. We visited my aunt for awhile and now heading over to my parents for a bit. From Dallas to Cairo, it had a range of prices from $819 to $853 . . . which would be great if it is really available . . . you have to call a number to book it. The airlines listed are British Airways, Alitalia, Austrian Airlines and Northwest . . . I'd probably check BA's website too . . . sometimes they offer good deals.

I like to fly Lufthansa and they don't seem to get down that far for tickets anymore, darn!!!
