Now that I received my NOA (extension for a year), I was wondering if I need this and the stamp in the passport once the GC expires to travel.
Anyone have experience travelling with NOA only?
Thank you!

If you get the NOA, you don't need the stamp. The stamp is for people who don't receive the NOA before their card expires. In fact, when I got my stamp as my card was expiring, they took my green card....so now I only have the stamp, and the paper NOA is useless (no card to go with it). There are many many people who have travelled and had no problem smile.gif

NOA1 + expired greencard + Passport are all you need to get back into the USA... you do not need them to leave only to return... you also do not need them to travel across country within the USA...

Thanks a lot! I called the customer serivce number recently as I was doubtful about travel with the expired gc and NOA. The lady who answered said "I couldnt travel with an expried gc". So I was kinda appalled as I have already booked my tickets to travel to INDIA .Im releived from this tension now!
