I am waiting on my US citizenship to come thru, should i wait to file for my wifes K3 or should i just apply now.

K-type visas are only available to either a foreign born fiancé or foreign-born spouse of US citizen petitioners.

Thanks do you know if there is anything else i can file to get the process going.

You could go ahead and file the I-130 and then when your US citizenship comes through--you could file and I-130 upgrade and then file the I-129f to get the K-3.

At least that's what an Immigration attorney that I worked for said he would do.
