Nope! Sarah has to beat everyone to the punch so she can get the started most threads award.
My thursday is not shaping up very well. We got snow again mid day, so instead of being home in my own bed, I am at the doctors house (sorry, I appear to be lacking in apostrophes, question marks and certain other keys...family is german ) and that was not even the plan. I was going to stay with a female co worker (no dashes either!) but she did not make it home, so I ended up with him! At least he could get home with 4 wd. My car is at the office, so I will either work from his house tomorrow or we will venture into the office later in the morning. Commute is supposed to be one sheet of ice tomorrow, so I doubt he will open the office. I am hoping things thaw out enough that I can go get my car and go home. If not I will be here all day talking to you guys, so you better pray for sunshine and I mean HARD!!!

The weather is weird in Illinois too. I have only had to clear snow once.

I love to drive and I love my Sentra so my job is a delite I will probably be in the car for 3 hours today. My trip info center will keep track and tell me at the end of the day. It told me yesterday that I am getting 29.9 MPG. Is that good? What are ya all getting?

It is Elmo indeed Youssef insists the poor thing be wrapped up in long sleeves, pants, socks, and lots of blankets at all times - he is sure that the baby will get sick if he gets cold. So just getting a t-shirt on him was a challenge

Still feel sick as a dog but dragged my butt in here anyways. I think it's safe to say I'm not pregnant now. Oh well....would suck to be pregnant without him anyways, though it would have been nice to have saved the money on the reversal.

I'm really really aching for a diet coke and the soda machine is out. I had some nuts and raisins for lunch 'cause it's too darn cold to go out for lunch and now I really want that soda but don't wanna brave the cold to the 7/11 down the street. I can almost taste the big gulp now...along with crunching that ice. . .

Ok that's it. I'm donnin' the hat and mittens and goin for the Big Gulp of Diet Coke. I'm sick of Pepsi since that's all they had in Egypt. Apparently they think Coke is haram but I'm in denial about that.....and it's not just a river in Egypt...hahahahaha.

Hey I had diet Coke in Egypt Hell I even had Mountain Dew but it tasted like crap.

Got the Big Gulp (32 oz), a bag of baked lays and light columbo blueberry yogurt. It was sooo freakin' cold out though!!!!


Yeah Usama said Coke is made from pork. I don't see it on the ingredient list so I think it's just a mad scheme by Pepsi to get a corner on the market.

LOL I've never heard of that one. Egyptians love conspiracy theories and rumors like that. Moh and I drank Coke all the time. Some shops sold only Coke, some only Pepsi. I'm REALLY doubting Coke contains pork. Tell Usama to ignore ppl who tell him that one too.

That's so funny 'cause the only coke I could find I wasn't even sure it was coke 'cause it was in a glass bottle that looked like coke but only had arabic on it. That was in one tiny store in Cairo but all the rest only had cans of pepsi with english on one side and arabic on the other. I really wanted to bring an empty bottle home but figured it'd get crushed in my suitcase and my carryon was already jam packed with stuffed camels for the kids and stuff.

Oh and he doesn't drink any dark sodas anyway since they all cause cancer.

In Morocco i saw more Coke and that orange stuff Yuk not so much Pepsi, now that im back he will say with lunch he had Pepsi.

No more soda for me during the day I have a giant 44 oz cup that I fill with water (well, about 2/3rds full since that's all the water fountain will let in before it starts to spill). If I drink one in the morning and one in the afternoon, I have all the water that's recommended for a day, plus I'm not as hungry.

*sips on round 2 of the giant cup*

If I didn't get in at least 32 oz of diet coke in the afternoon I'd never last to make dinner for the kids. I don't have them tonight but still I need that umph to get me through the afternoon.

Oh I LOVE Fanta Orange when i travel. There is something about sitting in a cafe and drinking Fanta that is very appealing to me. I can;t stand to touch the stuff at home

rahma...have you heard of sparkpeople.com? My trainer has me hooked on it. You can fill in everything you ate for the day and it calculates calories, carbs, protein, and fats. You can also put your weight and goal weight to determine the right amount of calories you should have a day. Plus you can add your daily workouts and calculate calories burned.




Mirinda is good too. Not as sweet as Fanta.

Yeah Moh did too. He was on this kick to get me to drink more milk. He thought it would help my sensitive stomach. Haha my doctor proved him wrong when I went in for the stomach virus. Egyptians (and most ppl from MENA) are real big on wives tales and home remedies.

Wondering how many of these wives tales they bring with them ha and what are some of them to you that know?
