My wife just got her Green Card this past year and she is making her first trip back to her home country for a week. She is wondering what to do when she comes back into the US as far as customs and immigration. She will be coming in to Newark, NJ and previously she had used an AP to travel, but wants to know if she should get in the line for residents or non-residents, now that she has her Permanent Resident card, and what other paperwork she needs to have ready to show them.

Any information would be helpful for her.

Thanks,

Goffredo

Resident line, Green card is Legal Permanent Resident If name is different in passoport than on green card, is good idea to have a copy of marriage certificate along to show the name change.
