Jenn!
Have a happy Tuesday, everyone!

It's such a beautiful, sunny day here, although a bit chillier than it has been lately. Work and study (and VJ of course) today for me....

It's late - you all need to WAKE UP!!!!!!

I took my time coming in today 'cause our server is down until 10am. I'm hoping that it's down all day. hahaha. That would be nice. I'm soooooooooo tired and still nauseous. Fun stuff and good times. good.gif

I've been here since 6 am and I'm on my 3rd cup of coffee and the screen is still blurry. We stayed up a bit late last night watching a movie. This OT is for the birds. No time for a personal life, but what little I can manage has become pretty darn wonderful. Its cold and rainy here AGAIN with a slight chance of flurries. Moh probably has his nose stuck to the glass watching for that first snow flake. Hope everyone has a great day.
Mrs. Forgetful
Good morning. Had a tough time getting out of bed this morning. It was so warm under the covers, but chilly out of them. I'm super tired too and need some more sleep. I didn't realize that we have a 3 day weekend coming up. That's exciting for me. That means I am going to be able to sleep in on Monday while Adil is at work. hehehe.

So I also realized that the day that we leave for Morocco and the exact time we leave is the same day and time last year that we were married in the Mosque. How weird is that?! It'll be our one year anniversary. Oh I'm so excited. I need to do some more research on Morocco and figure out where I want to go and what I want to see while I am there. I told Adil that I am going to make a list of places and things I want to see while we are there. Ahhhh! I'm going to Morocco!!!!! I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it! Oh Oh Oh! laughing.gif

Sorry... uh... well I hope you all have a good day.

P.S.- If anyone has any suggestions or good places to look on-line for Morocco, let me know.

Life is good. Tamer and I started watching Kundun last night. I was suprised I still remembered the name for the buddha/bodhisatva of compassion, whom the Dalai Lama is suppose to be the reincarnation of - Avalokitesvara. Huzzah, my liberal arts education has not been a total waste! I am full of obscure and random factoids.

Tonight, inshaAllah we're goin to the gym. Gonna kick that booty fat right off me!

Great movie good.gif

I watched a very interesting PBS show last night. It was called Antisemitism in the 21st Century. Very informative and right on target with what we were discussing yesterday on the "things to discuss with your SO" thread.

I'm meeting with my personal trainer after work. I'm gonna discuss how to work off this belly/inner thigh fat. I wanna look good when Moh gets here (isa).

Happy Tuesday everyone.

Janine there's always the classic tourist cities like Marrakech and Essaouira and Agadir. Where is Adil from? I personally don't like Casablanca- it's like the Los Angeles of Morocco. I am hoping to go South into the desert next time we visit.
Jenn!
Another reminder, everyone. PLEASE, PM Captain Ewok to request that the Returned Petitions thread be pinned. Although it may not be something that affects you, I think it is so important to this forum!!!!

Thanks!

Adil is from Tangier. I know we will be traveling a lot to visit his friends, but I was hoping that a few days we could see some of the historic places. I was reading on morocco.com about some of the cities and took a few notes on things to see. I must say Casablanca is not on the top of my list.

Does anyone know about a moroccan that was arrested on 9/11 conspiriacy charges? My dad just said something about it, but I can't find anything. I think he's just trying to scare me. And also how we just bombed Somalia and that they really hate Americans in Morocco now. I just don't understand. Why do people base countries on the media?!

See if you can contact the company who made it and ask for a list of stores that sold it. Call up the stores and see if they still have any left in stock.

I was in Egypt when they hung Saddam and suprisingly enough there were mixed reactions there. A lot of Iraqis are there now and 1/2 are glad and 1/2 are not. I wouldn't worry about it since even with the ones who weren't happy they still didn't blame me. Most of the people hate America but not Americans, if that makes sense.

It's from David's Bridal, it was ivory with soft gold lace accents and some beading. It had off the shoulder cap sleeves, low cut in the back, high neck line, cathedral train. Princess style. At the time the price was $799.00, it was part of their 2006 spring collection and I was holding off on buying it til the damn visa gets issued. crying.gif

No, its not that dress. I found this dress shortly after and I fell completly in love with it. I have an appointment to go there at lunch time to see if they have one on the clearence rack but the lady said she didn't think so.

I went a little wedding crazy and had a billion bridal magazines and catalogs. I kept some of them, so if I come across anything that looks like your dress, I'll post a pic here and see if that's the one.

BTW, what was the outdated URL? Sometimes the style number is encoded in the address.

So there was a number in the URL, but apparently it has nothing to do with the style number. They checked it every way they could and it didnt work. I called the corporate office and they couldn't figure it out either.

I am going to keep my fingers crossed that the store has an old catalog laying around where I can find the number and then try to locate the dress.

JP, I hope you find your dress good.gif ... there's a DB in NOLA... I bet there's at least one in your size floating around somewhere looking for a home - find out what you can and I betcha we'll find it for you!!! kicking.gif

I didn't want to get up today either but it's a gorgeous day here in south LA. I picked up Said to go meet a client of mine for lunch then after I brought him home, I rode back to work on the scooter! Hadn't been on it since before christmas! wooo!

Janine, I know everybody else is dissin' Casa, but *I* like it there - I didn't think I'd like Los Angeles either, but I did. It's the big metropolitan city of Morocco... But I also enjoyed Marrakech & Essaouira a lot. I have not yet made it to Fes, but definitely will the next time we go. I also liked the little town of Mohammedia (where Sarah's Hicham is from). Said's sister has a summer home there (they live in France). Enjoy the heck out of your trip... it will be amazing, I'm sure.

Almost time for my massage.... aahhhhhhh.... I need it so badly! Danced uber hard at an arabic wedding last weekend (w/ a live band and everything) and it was soooo much fun, but wreaked havoc on my body!
Cheerio!!!

I think she said it had shoulder cap sleeves and a high neckline and low in the back. The one you show is spaghetti strapped and low neckline. Good try though! good.gif

I wonder if a look through ebay might pop it up.....
MHandMB
I know that the neckline and sleeves aren't right, but I was thinking about the beading and the overlay. But, I was confused about the skirt. She said "princess," so I didn't know if that meant ballgown or not.

I think princess is a tight waist and then poofy where the hips start.
