I applied for the k-1 fiance visa back in Jan 2006. After the interview in chennai in May my fiance was put on AP. Consualte will contact when processing is completed. End of the Summer a security clearance was requested by Consulate. I found out in Dec, that the results of security clearance were given to consulate. Since then, my fiance has not been contacted by Consulate. and when I emailed them. They said case under AP. However , I did not mention my knowledge of the security check being completed. What are we waiting for next? It will be a year sice I applied and 7 months total under AP. How can I be sure that Consulate rec'd the news from DOS? Please advise anyone.
