FYI I have sent my I-751(updated form) with one check of $275 and NO pictures on January3 to the California Service Center and it has been cashed by the USCIS as of today January 6.
To avoid rejection from an uninformed employe I wrote a cover letter explaining that the form and the fee has been updated and to make sure I will be taken seriously I attached the instruction pages where it says "ONE CHECK $275 AND NO PICTURES REQUIRED" I highlighed the new specs and ...well....it worked
I don't know if they would accept 2 checks (205+70) but USCIS policy says "one form=one check" so that's what I did

Good! My $275.00 check was cashed too and some other poster's. It seems this mess with the new fee is being cleared out.
I just received a receipt today in the mail. It is not the NOA tough.

Sounds like you received a G-711 like we did. We are in a race for NOA I guess. Ours was recieved by VSC on 12/22, yours on 12/23. Seems like we are a few days ahead of you thus far! :-)
