Just thought I'd find out how many Peeps are from Adelaide, South Oz..

How many Peeps are still in South Oz?
We are waiting for NVC TO SEND MY WIFEE (NORTHERNGIRL - CHERYL),
THE PAPERWORK, AFTER THEY RECIEVED THE IV BILL.
They recieved the IV BILL AND PAYMENT 7TH DECEMBER 2006

We where told THE DS - 230 PAPERWORK, was sent December 15th from NVC..
And my wifee (NorthernGirl) lives in Massachusetts.
So we thought maybe 5 working days to get it sent out.
But..NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, nudda nothing zip jack schit as yet.
Anyway's I did my National Police Clearance(WITH FINGERPRINTS)
Another LONG STORY

Did it on 7th December 2006.. got a call from Police saying,
it's ready to be picked up.. I originally Arranged to pick it up from,
Para Hills Cop Shop.. So I go there to pick it up and they said,
What National Police Check and Fingerprints?
So they called Records Clearance in Adelaide Central Cop Shop,
and they said oops it was sent to Golden Grove Cop Shop,
as Para Hills Cop Shop will be closed for good on 15th January 2007,
And Golden Grove has replaced Para hills.
So I go Drive to Golden Grove ( 41 Celcius day mind you)
And I pick it up and drive home.. thinking all good..NOT
I get home and check both Police Clearance and then Fingerprints,
and you wouldn't believe it when I read it.
THEY PUT THE WRONG HOUSE NUMBER ON BOTH FFS!!
SO I POLITELY CALLED THEM ( RECORDS CLEARANCE),
AND TOLD THEM OF THEIR FUBAR!!!!!
They said no probs just bring it back to Golden Grove Cop Shop,
Mind you when i originally paid for the checks to be done,
I was living in Salisbury East..
now moved to Novar Gardens (Near Glenelg Beach).

The Saga continues..
So i go up to Golden Grove to pick it up a 2ND TIME..
On the way way there it was sticky weather and about 37 C.
and then it started to rain.. all good one would think..NOOOOOO
I Got to Golden Grove cops shop about 8.30pm and opened my ,
Police Clearance and they changed the House Number on that ok.
I was about to walk out and go home and thought best check fingerprints
and what did I find They didn't change the number on that form..
By that time I was ....
SO I TOLD THE SENIOR CONSTABLE,
THAT THEY BETTER GET IT RIGHT THIS TIME..
SO HE USED EVERY HIGHLIGHT PEN HE HAD (6) AND USED CAPITAL BOLD
LETTERS TO INFORM RECORDS RELEASE OF THEIR FUBAR..
SO WILL FIND OUT PROLLY TUESDAY WHEN I GET THE CALL,
TO GO PICK IT UP FOR THE 3RD TIME

OK my rant is done...
Has anyone from Adelaide done their blood testing and Innoculations,
prior to seeing

Im not sure and have to check with hubby on this one, but I BELIEVE that he started his immunizations before he had his medical and did his blood testing with his regular doctor and then they had to write a letter to Dr miller stating what he had done etc. Like I said, I will check with him tonight and PM you some time tomorrow!!

Im not sure of anyone still left in adelaide, but Scotts from there and there was a few other VJ couples, though the names escape me at the moment.....

Well as i posted on here earlier.. will have extra blood taken to find out if i do actully need the other innoculations..as i have had tetnus/dyptheria when i was having operations in august 06.
as long as the labratory print out results and my g.p can then write a letter with proof that innoculations have been done,
or if they need not doing depends on return of blood work being done.

now theirs yet another pub/club.

LOOKING FORWARD TO GETTING THIS PROCESS FINISHED SOON.

It is 30 days, 10 hours, 0 minutes and 32 seconds until Friday,
9th February 2007 at 10:30:00 AM (Adelaide time)
when my wifee NorthernGirl (Cheryl) gets here for a 10day holiday.
Hoping to hear back from NVC soon so i can get to go back with her,
on February 20th.. but not looking good at the moment
But at least we will have 10 days together..
will be nearly 9 Months since we where face to face in person.
Well i will stop waffling on lol and hope you are enjoying,
your new life over that side of the big puddle.

sorry to hear about your police certificate problems...I went to bank street in adelaide to file it...then walked over to city watch house to have finger prints, then walked to main police station , where they told me to walk it over to the FBI or whatever type building ( Divet place? i know you've done it, might help someone else!)around the corner where my fingerprints would marry up with my application. Had it 5 days later...

I saw Dr Miller in October... met Joan first..she told me to make appointment downstairs for xrays, then sent me around the corner, ( 2 minute walk) to have blood taken for HIV, etc...plus a request for immunity for the shots I knew Id had. ( she wrote the request forms herself)At that time she gave me an appointment with dr miller for 2 weeks later. I only needed Tetnus. I went over to travel bug on ward street to have the vaccination.

2 weeks later , I had my appointment with , xrays , and vaccinations in hand, by then all the bloodwork had been sent back to Dr Millers office. ( HIV, Syphilis, and proof of immunity etc...) The medical itself took maybe 15 minutes...

good luck...and enjoy the heat! its 2c here today..and I have to wait on train platforms....Id give anything for 30 something weather!

I actually picked up my National Police Clearance & Fingerprints today,
at the Netley Police Complex here in Adelaide.
And now addresses on both Clearance and Fingerprint forms are the same.
Now we got a letter from NVC FOR RFE WAS POSTMARKED 10TH JANUARY,
AND IT TOOK ONLY 2 DAYS TO GET IT FROM NEW HAMPSHIRE.. WTF
AND BEEN WAITING 4 WEEKS FOR THE SAID FORM,
THEY ARE ASKING ABOUT,FOR RFE.. GO FIGURE EH!!
Funny thing is they asking for our DS - 230,
WHICH WE ARE WAITING ON FOR THEM TO SEND OUT
SUPPOSEDLY THEY SENT IT OUT ON THE 11TH DECEMBER LAST YEAR.

OH WELL WIFEE (CHERYL - NORTHERNGIRL) WILL SCAN IT AND SEND IT TO ME AND SEND THE RFE LETTER WITH ACCOMPANING BARCODED,
LETTER WITH OUR DS-20 TO THEM.
SHE SAID (CHERYL) THAT SHE GOT A KNOW IT ALL B***H ON THE PHONE WHEN SHE RANG NVC AND SHE WAS ONE OF THESE OPERATORS THAT,
TRIED TO TALK OVER HER.. AND WOULDN'T LET CHERYL,
ASK QUESTIONS, RE THE RFE.
BUT CHERYL SAID TO THE OPERATOR... LET ME FINISH MY QUESTIONS,
BEFORE YOU TALK OVER ME AND MAYBE WE CAN WORK THIS OUT FFS!!
SO SHE WILL SEND IT ALL OFF TODAY TO THEM..
AND GET THE BALL ROLLING AGAIN

Well NVC recieved our DS-230 ON Tuesday 16th January 2007.
So hopefully they will send it out to Sydney Consulate soon
