Does a K1 petition expire? How long does it take to expire from the time the petition was filed? thanks for the help!
This should have been posted in the K1 forum. But, to answer your question, the K1 expires 6 months from issuance, or in 90 days once you enter the US.
i think he was asking if the petition expires, not the visa expiration. If so, the approval of the petition expires after 4 months (or was when i went through it)

thanks for your reply....so what happens if the approval of the petition expires after 4 months? do the NVC or US embassy trash the petition for good?
You need to file for an extention or if your case is already with the embassy most likely it will be extended automatically.
