Well its Tax time again and I am wondering the best way for us to file our taxes this year!I have my regular job that I will receive a w-2 and my wife that just got here 6 months ago has been working now for 3 months and also will receive her w-2 from her first job in America.I have a daughter that i will be claiming also.I claimed 2 (my daughter and my self)and i had my wife claim -0- so they would take out more taxes. Is there a best way for us to file this first year of filing together? Anything different for newcomers to the USA?to get the most money back. Thanks Born

You might get more detailed from others, but I can't see anything unusual here...would just think you and your wife file "married filing jointly" (nearly ALWAYS better than married filing separately) and claim your daughter as a dependent. (If she is eligible for that, which it sounds like she is.) Without having more info, doesn't sound like anything unusual here... smile.gif M.
