I am the U.S. citizen. Do I have to have my passport changed to my married name or can I use it as long as I have my marriage certificate with me?
Just curious! They're expensive!!!!

I travel using my old passport. I just have to make sure all tickets ect are in that name. I also have my old drivers licence. They are soooooooo expensive and right now I cant afford to get a new one either!!!

When you book your ticket, just make sure you book it under the name that is on your passport.

If they are anything like the Canadian government, look into getting an amendment to your passport, that indicates your new last name. Not sure if you can do that, but it is worth looking into.

And definitely book your international plane tickets in your maiden name, and travel with a certified copy of your marriage certificate.

My wife just had her name amended in her existing US passport. Didn't need to get a new one.
