Ok, for a gringa I make kick ### ajiaco, changua, sanccocho, and rice (don't laugh at the rice...us gringas are used to instant rice! haha). i am dying for a recipe for a chicken dish my colombian mother-il-law makes in Bogota. it is pretty basic, but i don't know what it is called other than chicken in brown sauce with capers. any colombianas out there who know the recipe? my tummy thanks you in advance!

Hola Gringa. Its nice to hear that a Gringa can actually cook something doesn't require a microwave or a box!!!! Well, I'm wondering if what she made was sudado? Can you describe the dish a little more? Sudado usually involves potatoes, carrots, yuca, chicken, and its kind of saucy but its no soup, and mine is more yellow than brown? Let me know and I'll try to help. Maybe you can send me your recipie for ajiaco, I'm from Medellin and we don't eat ajaico there, but I love it.

I found this amazing book on amazon, it's called. "secrets of colombian cooking". It's in english, and it has all the recipes you'd ever want. Author is Patricia McCausland-Gallo.
