charles!
ewok, i've noticed the i-864 on vj is the old version. i've filled out a newer one as an example and it is attached for peer review. any suggestions/changes, i'll make them and upload it again. thanks all.

Good for you Charles in taking the initiative to do this good.gif

A few things
  • Keep things consistent even though it is only an example e.g. keep the SSN the same throughout. In other words, that information is consistent.
  • If including assets in the example, make the income below the poverty guidelines. Assets are not required when one meets the poverty guidelines. In the examples case it is way above.
  • Can you get rid of the instructions at the front

For this new Affidavit of support I-864EZ form in Question 25, if one's most recent year income above the poverty guidlines, should the 2nd and 3rd most recent year be skipped?

attached is the updated version of this form. if no negative replies in 2 weeks i'll pm ewok and ask he replace the current example with this one. i can't remove the instructions from the front, i did try visapro and their form cannot be saved. sad.gif

As the VJ posted example, do you really want it to be the fillable version?

Also, in response to Aussiewench's comment, maybe the easiest thing to do after the comment period is to just redo the .pdf file with just the form.

The flip side might be if you do include the instructions, maybe people will actually read them before they ask questions...

uhhm in the instruction part it says..."print clearly or type using CAPITAL letters"....

not received any more input on it. i can't remove the instructions as someone previously mentioned, and i did hunt around visapro for one but no luck. i'd prefer to wait another week for peer review as i'd be horrified if i had a faulty example posted.
Captain Ewok
The I-864 document on the site has been updated. Information within the document has been changed to match the previous example document, the instruction pages have been trimmed for the example form, and certain other necessary changes were made.
