My fiancee traveled from Rio to JFK on 12/23. However, she is not going back to Rio. I am just wondering if anyone successfully received some kind of refund for the return trip ticket from TAM airline.

Thank you all.

That would be great wouldn't it? But the reason we bought two way tickets was because it was cheaper than one way, so no refund.

Well, you see, I am doing the same thing.

Theoretically, the tickets ARE refundable, but I don't know exactly how it works.

I will only find out when I get to the States...

If you find anything, don't forget to tell me.

And if I have any news on this issue, I will sure tell you...

ETA: I know they DO refund one-way domestic tickets, I did that a lot 2 years ago, but I never tried to do it with an international ticket.
Reynaldo
I just read my ticket and it says you can get 10% refunded.

I think that is good enough...

Se ainda por cima é mais barato que one-way, então 10% já tá ótimo! Eu comprei one-way porque tava mais barato.

A de só uma perna é sacanagem, é tipo $600 uma perna e $750 as duas.

É melhor comprar as duas, e alterar a passagem, sei lá, pro natal... Mais 100 doletas que voce tem que pagar...
