I submitted my I-751 application 11/24/06 to VSC, with the $205 check and the old form. They cashed the check 11/29. So far I still haven't got NOA or anything from them. My question is: What should I do if I need to travel outside the country? Thanks!!

If your GC is expired when you need to travel and you don't have the NOA by that time, then I think I would go to the local office (Infopass) to try to get an stamp in your passport.

what if I send in the package and I need to travel before I get the NOA but my green card isn't expired yet??

My green card expires on April 2nd, 2007.... we are probably going to Canada and will be gone from March 16th to March 21st....

I am not sure if I should file the package soon or have it all ready and mail it off as soon as I get back unsure.gif

I sent the package the first day the 90-day window opened but that's just me.

As long as your GC has not expired when you re-enter the U.S., you will have no problems.

If your GC has expired, then you must have the I-797 with you, which extends your GC for one year.

How long does it usually take to receive the I-797 after I mail off the package?
