Ok first, on the nonimmigrant visa application(DS156) what does he put on question 26 how long do u intend to stay in the U.S.? I mean permanently is the plan but can he simply put that?
For two, does he have to have everything on the checklist actually done before he can return the packet? or is it ok if it's all there in time for the interview?
And the last one, I think, can he make the appointment and go to his medical before he has an inteview date? And is there anything he has to bring with him to the appointment?
Thanks if anyone can help!
Question one: Permanently apon AOS approval.
Question Two: Montreal takes forever send it back and start gathering documents asap
Question Three: Bring the coverletter of Packet Three that has her MTL number on it, and her vaccination records. And you can make that appt. anytime it's good for a year.
1: exactly.
2: IMHO, have your documents in hand before sending back the packet, or the vast majority of it. I had everything but the medical packet in hand (but I knew I would have it within the week) when I sent back my checklist. If I was still waiting for more stuff, I would have held off on sending it in. That's jsut me.
3: you have to have the medical completed before the visa interview. In fact, you're supposed to have the medical completed before sending back packet three. Call the appropriate doctor that covers your area, and they will tell you what documents, etc. to bring. Don't forget the medical fee!
4: if you have filed your 2006 tax returns already (and I highly doubt you have!

) then no worries about including 2006 yet. If, however, you do not get the visa interview until after you have filed the 2006 tax forms, then you would include that with your documents.
