My lawyer said NVC now requires the AOS to be sent to them and also included at the embassy during the interview. Supposedly started last month.

Also, the DS230 (IV Application), does it add more time to wait during all this headache? Or does it usually make no real difference in the process?

Whats the average time for someone to get an interview after they receive that finally?

Yes the NVC has a set procedure, they send out several items need them returned before they can proced on to the next step, then they will send out several other forms, and so on.

See the NVC Flow chart to see the steps that are involved by NVC.

Look at the CR-1 timelines and filter for Philippines to get an idea about how long after NVC sends petition to Manila that you can expect to wait.

Once manilia has the case go here to see when they may schedule an interview, you will need the new case number assigned by NVC.
