I have a quick question...a friend applied for citizenship on 8/30/06 and up to today there have been no touches on his case...the only thing he received was his biometrics appointment...is that normal?

Sorry if this has already been asked...i didn't find the thread sad.gif

Depends on how back logged the district office is, most seem to be 6-7 months to process N-400.

Example: Chicago district office shows dates for N-400 as petitions dated May 2006.

I saw that on the USCIS site...but i wasn't sure if there would be no touches at all...my AOS has already been touched and by the dates they are still processing the ones filed months before mine...

There is a reason the touches are considered so unreliable - it's because they are smile.gif The online system is extremely inconsistent about whether or not it even updates, let alone emails you.

For my naturalization, my first touch was when my interview letter was issued.
