i would have never thought that seeing some geese would make me so homesick! i used to hate running past all the darned things - the hissing, pecking and general bad attitude as i did my best to wade through the crowds without disturbing them too much. but there i was on my Christmas eve run bawling my eyes out when i saw a small flock land in the field next to me. thankfully it's the boonies so no one was there to see.

i guess it was just the sight that put me over the top as i'm missing home celebrations for the first time ever. now i just have my birthday and new years to get through and hopefully i'll find a job so i can afford to go home for a visit. unsure.gif

I know what you mean...I drove by some hotel the other day, and saw the Canadian Flag flying...it really made me homesick. Speaking of Canadian geese....here in Minnesota there are more of them than I ever saw in Canada.... biggrin.gif

In Mass he golf clubs buy dogs that are trained to harass the geese so they will not hang around the course, leave their droppings on the greens. Real Pains in the ### to golfers and clubs. Want the hundreds we have out here?

Sometimes I get homesick too. For Toronto. (Yeah, don't laugh.) So when I want to plug in, I go to the online newspapers.

Well I'm from Montreal, quebec, and I must admit that the first time i ever saw a bunch of canadian geese from a closeview was in Chicago laughing.gif

Just a funny thing as they now remind me more of my baby when I'm far away from him than my hometown.

My mom-in-law bought me a hard- plastic full size replica of a Canada Goose for my Birthday. It sits outside at the side door of our house so I see it everyday. We named it Lucy Goosey. biggrin.gif
