I am supposed to have my medical exam on the 28th this month....but seems like I have to postpone it cuz the Doc said I need to do it at least 10 days after menstruation to get a good result..... I didn't know that..... SUCKS!! Prolly have to wait till like January something.....

yeah..I heard a lot of that things here with my friends who went for their medical that if you have your period, you will ask to come back after your period, but they didnt tell you at least how many days after and the medical here in the Philippines takes 2 days.

We planned my fiancee's medical early to avoid such a problem.

Don't worry, I had mine when I was menstruating and it was ok. I did have to go back to do the urine test though but it was all ok. The doctor wasn't worried.

*sniffles* the thing is I have to fly to the capital city to do the test..... if I will have to go back for the urine test :| yikes...that's gonna cost me a lot...! Yah....I guess I'll just be patient and wait till I'm "clean"....*twiddles fingers*

I understand that's expensive.... in my case the US Dr is only 10mins away so I just went back for the urine test in my lunch hour once I stopped menstruating.

Maybe you should postpone cause you definitely can't be menstruating to do the urine test.

that s why i am having my med exam earlier, that was what happened to my co-teacher too, in her case,she was postponed because she was fertile and her interview too a month after...good thing her fiance was with her and asked the embassy to postponed only a week due to his limited stay.and she was interviewed.

my period will start at the end of the month, ill have my med a week from that in january...

mmm if i will have my period i would definitely postpone my exam or take it earlier, here, u are to lie down and stretch ur legs so the doctor can see ur thing...just imagine what she can see

last thing, ive heard that it's for the xray that be given to u why u should not be fertile in getting it...they will ask u when ur about to get the xray and let u go back if ur fertile...

so start counting ur days now

I didn't have to do any of this, I went to my private doctor in advance and got the tests done, then I took the results to the civil surgeon and that was it.

Bad timing for us as well, she has her period now with her medical a month away. Looks like it would be better for her too go a week before, the only issue is needed too fly too Manila so soon. Staying 2 weeks will not be easy on our buget.

In most medical they need to take a peek to see if you're really a girl, some doctors require you to use your regular doctor to do a pap smear and bring the results to him.

Ok that doesn't sound like fun. I wonder what the doc would say when they find out i'm a transvestite. Ha ha. Ok I'm not, but still... :/ geez. How many of you actually had to do this...? ..the...spreading your legs thingie

Wow I never had to do any of that for my medical.... all they asked was when was my last period... at the x-ray they just asked if I could be pregnant before they did the x-ray...

My medical also had no reference to " girl business" A few questions regarding gynie history and only had my jeans unbuttoned so the doctor could do the tap on the stomach area. All done.
