Hi everyone.
I have a question. My husband has a green card and we're wondering what documents are needed for travel. I heard that a white passport is helpful, and wanted to know more about it. First of all is it needed? What does it help with, does it replace a regular passport issued from his country? And, how do you get one? Is there an application, and how long does it take?
If anyone knows anything about it, please help...

Thanks...

sorry but ive never heard about a white passport.

a white passport is another way of referring to the re-entry permit. i dont see why this is necessary if he has his greencard unless he is out for an extended period of time.

ETA : ah - may be necessary if he cannot obtain a passport from his home country
