Thank you all for your good luck wishes for our AOS interview. I did respond, and as stated in my recent post, it just wouldn't appear. We did receive our APPROVAL. The interview was short and sweet! I can't remember what I posted or not anymore, lol. So I'll just note here, Abdou also stopped to put in his first application at the end of our day and was interviewed on the spot and got the JOB. We had such an exciting day. Ladies we made our dream come true, we see it happening, and you all will too!

Thank you ladies. I'm back to work tomorrow after 11 weeks of recovery. I'm using only a cane now and trying to get these new knees working some magic for me. At least I am not in any pain now. It's hard learning to walk again but well worth it. I'm now ready for a vacation but all my leave is used.

Always new phases to go through, I'm going back to work, Abdou will begin work but life is good

Sharon, you little sneak! Getting married so quietly. I hope all is going good for you in your new home in the new city with the new hubby. Lots of changes all at once can be frustrating I'm sure.

Doreen, I know how you feel. I had surgery last January, then went to Morocco for 18 days, so I was really lucky my boss decided to give me an extra week off for my honeymoon.

Please upda te me too, our NOA dates for AOS are Jan.13,
and we were legally married September 9th

I meant the 26th

I am in a bit of a dilemna as to what marriage date to observe.

Unknown to me LOL, I was actually married in Morocco,
I did not know the fine lines of the religous muslim marriage. It seems an Imam
does not have to be present in front of both the woman and the man to marry...there was one at the engagement party with
the men in a different room but I did not know they married us LOL, I recieved the dowry
etc... there also. It wasn't till he came here and we went to the imam that I found out
we were "married" already. Rachid just thought I knew, and when he always
referred to me as his wife in emails...I just thought that was out of love but not technically
his wife. So I don't know which date to use:
1) The date we married in Morocco, when I did not know it LOL
2) The date he came here and we errmm consumated the marriage
or
3) The date we signed the court documents

Isn't that wild? Rachid refers to the date in Morocco and tells people we
have been married for almost 2 years. I still am undecided...

(all of this was to explain my lapse in memory for a wedding date LOL)

Yes, good luck to Twila and Hickam. While my K1 was able to move as fast as yours I could only dream our AOS would. We may be in the same region, but not the same state, and I'm in one of the slowest. I'm sure your interview will be fine - it's certainly easy for us to see how much in love you guys are from what you tell us.

Thanks everyone. We'll be sure to tell you how it goes on Wednesday. Our only main concern is that we did not file the vaccination supplement. At the time, we didn't know he would need a copy of that record from the civil surgeon in Morocco (and they are so loathe to give it). So...we just put a letter in the AOS packet stating he had the vaccinations at the time of his medical and all that information was in the brown packet surrendered at the airport upon arrival. Besides that fact...I don't want my husband to have to get double vaccinated. We both believe in getting what you need...not anything more. We will discuss this if we have to. We never got an RFE from the NBC so we are praying all will be well. Worst case scenario...we get told to go get it done (I already have the civil surgeons in this area printed out and know which ones are even on our insurance plan.) Other than that, we have plenty of proof of our relationship.

P.S. West Palm Beach used to be the slowest place in the world. One of my great-aunt's step-daughters works for immigration in Vermont and was sent down to West Palm Beach for six months to help get them on track again. Who knows! We may see her on Wednesday!

Twila, after much consideration we decided to just get the Vaccination Supplement, but we were fortunate to have the advice from you to insist upon the Vaccination Documentation Worksheet. I'm sure the worst that will happen is that you'll be delayed a few weeks, and since Hicham already has his EAD that shouldn't be too much of a problem for you (although it may be an annoyance!)

Twila and Hicham, our best to you on Wednesday. You'll be in our thoughts and prayers. I do hope yours is as easy as ours. Ours was maybe 5 minutes and she didn't want to see a thing as she said it was all in our file as she was looking through it. You know I didn't think they needed the supplement either because all that information is turned in at JFK. Abdou elected to take his two shots again so we could include it in our AOS paperwork. I hated him taking them again but that was his choice instead of trying to go through Morocco from here. Maybe they won't even mention that you don't have the supplement because they should have the report right there in front of them. Try not to worry, easier said than done, I know
