How do I check to see if it''s been sent to her embassy ?

hi....congrats that you got the NVC #.....theirs no way that you can check it online or like that ......but you actually have to talk to a live operator at NVC... its just like touch and go situation for most K-1 cases......so just get ready for the embassy stage of the VJourney.........

Keep calling and emailing. There is no automatic system for checking.

Except, when they DO send it on, they will also send you a letter about it. So you could just wait. But waiting sux.

It was said - call and e-mail. E-mailing worked better for me. The first response was negative but the next was positive and a few days later my letter came in the mail as proof and they e-mailed me today with the same info.

I'm happy to know NVC got your petition I'm keeping my fingers crossed that ours was in the same batch as yours.

Also I did a check on DHL's web site.. only two Correspondence heading for Romania in the last week...one of the 15th and one yesterday ..So I'm hoping yesterdays was ours.. But it doesn't really matter..I'm hung up on my taxes.. We can't send back Packet 3 until after Jan 31st.. because I need to file my taxes for 2006 (Not enough income in 2005 to file).. So even if they get my petition by Christmas and she has the packet by the first week of Jan. We are in the waiting mode for another 3-4 weeks...SUCKS... but at least the embassy will have it.. and thats a big relief...

If you alreadsy have the number from NVC then go to he american embassy web page for that country n they should have a list of the daters for interiews. i emailed Moscow embassy and they sent me a nice note with the date

yeah..check the schedule online if you know the embassy site of the beneficiary because here in the Philippines, we know where to check online and it is good because we will just have to key in our case number and it open to the schedule date. But they said that you will have the schedule 1-6 months from the arrival date of the case of the beneficiary embassy.

Romania isn't that organized.. hahhaha but they are fast.. As far as I've seen avg. waiting time for the interview after they receive the Packet 3 back is 12-15 days
