OK got my paper from NVC that says that within a week my petition will be forwarded. it gives me my INS # WAC########## and then another number case #VAC###########
is that my NVC number? and does the NVC have information after they send out your case to the Consulate? The only reason I knwo they sent it to the consulate is becasue I had to do an address update for my finacé. So I am confused at what happens now. I see all sorts of things about how the NVC sends you some sort of DS from and a packet? And I haven't recieved anything but the message that my petition would be forwarded within a week. Is that normal? Am I crazy? Help please and thank you in advance.

It is for a K1 finacé if that helps.

VAC is your NVC number for Vancouver. All of your communication regarding P3/P4 (DS forms et al..) will come from the consulate not NVC. You need to give the consulate a few days to receive your file.

Yes it has passed through NVC and is on its way to Vancouver that is what the VAC indicates.
