Can anybody tell me what my Fiance should be ready for at the POE. She will be arriving in San Fran, & I wont be there. I will pick her up in JFK. What kind of questions should she expect? I wish I could be there.
Any Advice?

If she can handle the consulate interview then she will handle the POE.

As long as she has all her stuff and her brown envelope isn't tmapered with...she should be fine.

Does it matter where She enters the County here?

What do you mean? All POE's process intended immigrants who are on "K" visas

I went through JFK as well, was easy, and there was no queue either! Possibly becasue it was about midnight... They don't really ask many questions, just look through all the stuff in the brown envelope.

Good luck!

My POE took all of 3 minutes. He only asked me when I was getting married. I told him we hadn't set a date yet. He took my picture, my fingerprints, stamped the passport and I-94...and that was it.

Sorry if this sounds like I'm being really dense, but....

I was looking for a list of POEs and couldn't seem to come up with one.

Does this mean any ole airport will do? Or is there a list somewhere of designated POEs?

Any ole airport that handles international commercial airline flights will do. You don't have to worry about this at all if you take an airline. If you do the piloting yourself in a small plane, you've got to land at an airport that has port of entry facilities. I suspect you can get the info from cpb.gov and/or the FAA, but I further suspect that not many people here on VJ will be piloting their own planes for their initial entry to the US.

Well an incentive to POE at JFK, is that you can get a temp EAD stamp.

They're still doing that? Good to know smile.gif

No, I don't pilot my own plane. There's just a lot of misinformation out there. I thought for certain he had to enter through Miami (ick), now I'm *sure* that is not the case.

Immigrations at SEA took about an hour and 15 minutes. Most of it was waiting in line. They asked us when we were getting married, and they asked her if she had any kids... and that was it.

my guess - because they have the paperwork in front of them showing that none are claimed and such might be basis for refusing her entry to the usa?

Ok I admit that when I finally will get my fiance visa I don't dare to go through Minnesota POE again
They didn't let me in last time because I was stupid to say yes when he trigged me and asked if I should visit my fiance.

I know ofcause it dosn't matter which POE you enter I was just unlucky this guy asked me.

But this experience I had back this time really made me scared and I will never see this officers face again.
He is the reason I haven't seen my fiance in 1 year now.
