Our approval date is October 2, 2006. NVC still doesn't have our approval from CSC. Is this normal? Or anyone who has the same timeline with us and still hasn't heard from NVC?
Amy and Brian
Our petition was approved on Sept 12th and the NVC still has yet to receive our paperwork. We've been running in circles between CSC and NVC in an attempt to figure out what's going on.

Someone on the Misinformation Line tried to tell us that our case was sent directly to the consulate, but our NOA2 did not state that, it specifically said it was going to the NVC first.

It's all rather frustrating.

Well, ya it's really frustrating. A lady from NVC told us to send them a copy of our approval, so they can check it with CSC, and we did that. She said they will send us a letter stating they haven't received our approval, and i think she said they will mail the same letter to CSC. Maybe you can do that too.

That's part of the "running in circles" bit we've already been through. We sent the NVC a copy of our NOA2 and they kindly sent us back a letter saying they did not have our case. It was never mentioned that they would be contacting CSC at all. In fact, we were told that until 90 days had passed, the NVC could not do anything else for us. 90 days is up now and Brian's supposed to be calling NVC again today, but I really don't foresee anything happening other than them telling us they still don't have it.

We'll be getting Brian's Congresswoman or Senator or somesuch involved shortly, I'm sure. Because this back-and-forth nonsense with no straight answer from either end is ridiculous.

Ouch.
What are these people doing? I know a couple who was approved 12 days before me and another who was approved a week before me. Both of their cases are at the embassy (Brazil like us).
I have no answer back from NVC that my case has been received.
I sent another e-mail so I'll see what they say...
I want to know where my case is.

Brian contacted his congresswoman's office a few days ago and she was very nice and willing to help. They have an immigrantion specialist working in the office and aparently have dealt with this exact situation before. She had Brian e-mail all our details to the specialist and told him that they would look into it for us, I think she claimed they have some sort of liason at CSC.

So... we'll see how this goes.

I got our N0A2 on 27 November and mine has still not reched the NVC. Some who were approved the same time as me and others who were approved after me have already had their N0A2's received by the NVC and some have already passed through the NVC to the consulates, but mine is still in limbo land somewhere. I called NVC on two occasions and both times they said they don't have it. The HELP line said they had no idea where it was, only thing they knew was that it had been approved on 27 November. I hope it shows up soon at the NVC and isn't lost. I realize the mine is fairly new comparted to yours... so it makes me wonder why CSC holds some cases and doesn't mail them? It would seem that all of the approvals for a certain week should be mailed to NVC all at the same time. How in the world can they be so incompentent that they can't even do something as simple as mailing something?

We've tried contacting my congressman before and it took them a couple of months to get CSC to work on our case, so I hope it will not take that long for you to hear back from them. If they do not contact CSC for us, then we will send that letter from NVC to CSC. I really hope NVC receives our approvals soon. Good luck!
