Hi--posted this on the foreign embassy forum but no responses. Maybe one of my fellow sub-Saharans know? unsure.gif

We just got home from picking up O's visa and sealed packet, but we realized after reading the cover letter that the Social Security Program letter that was supposed to be given to him was not there.

I thought we were finished with these marathon trips to the consulate, so I dread going again on Monday. Does anyone know what that letter says, or have a copy? Is it something that has to have his name and info on it (does he need one that is issued to him specifically) or is it something that we can find and refer to?

Thanks!

Always something, eh? Good to have the visa, though!

I'm not sure what letter you are talking about, but if it's the selective service stuff, that is filed with AOS. All Re got was his passport (w/visa) and the brown packet that you give away at the airport.

Hopefully someone else will know.
