Another frigid day in NY. As for my plans today I am going to Brooklyn to explore a new neighborhood to move to next year. MY lease will expire in may and both of us are so ready for change in scenery. San Antonio, TX looked so gorgeous on the other thread...I always wanted to visit but still haven't gotten there yet. I hope that everyone has a great weekend and stay warm people...I hate cold weather...I am not sure why when people know that I am from Poland originally they assume that I should be used to the cold weather and just love it...such a bad misconception...Hate anything that goes below 50...

I have a friend here in Dallas that came over from Poland . . . I don't think she misses the cold weather from there at all. She tries to bring her mother over from Poland for the winter as much as she can (I think she manages every other year so far).

Speaking of which, I think I'll give Danuta a call this weekend!

Oh, I've heard that lots of Egyptians live in New Jersey, so I was wondering how all those ppl from the desert countries fare when they end up in the cold northern parts of the States. What is cold in Egypt is not so cold in Dallas . . . but it does get as hot here in Texas as Egypt . . . we just have A/C everywhere, LOL!! I think Morocco must be similar to Egypt since they are both located on the med in NA. . . . although Morocco has more coast line on the Atlantic than the Mediterranean. Hmmmm, going to peruse a map.

I'm off for most of the day . . . playing with my sword!

Maggie?: Yes, tiramisu is my fav too...I bought this variety at Whole Foods...vegan...so means no "good stuff" like eggs... made up some vegan ingreidents...donnot ask me what...but I am still feeling sick

I donnow, I just personally find that word funny. I visualise a brain scattered... yes I am werid like that...I feel kinda scatter brained today myself.

Got some overtime in at work today. Had an excellent afghani supper with my husband last night. Going to the gym soon. All in all, it's shaping up to be a pretty decent weekend, asside from the mounds of housework to takle tomorrow.

im sick and my hubby leaves early tomorrow morning.

hmm... I have the meat for all of those but it's raining pretty hard and I don't want to go out to get veggies and tortillas.

what does rain have to do with cooking?
i don't suppose a taco salad would be on the menu either then.

Ingredients are needed for cooking. Like I said I don't have the ingredients for those things you listed which means I would have to go get them which means going out in the rain and I am just not up to it!

taco salad sounds good but I just don't have any mexican ingredients. Shoot! I might have to gear up and get my rubber rain boots out!

K I changed my mind we're having chips and guacamole and tequila lime chicken and some kind of salad tonight!

all you need are tostito chips, hamburger, lettuce/onion/salsa/tomato/cheese etc.

Though I haven't had it in years, owing to the fact that I don't eat meat anymore, Togo's had the BEST taco salad. I used to looove it so much. Almost enough to want to eat meat again. But not quite.
