Yeah my friends are having issues getting them at the moment. Well, not issues per se, just waiting longer. I'm glad I had mine renewed last spring.
My mom and sister need to get their Passport. I told them to wait until spring. Hopefully it will be less busy, right now people are rushing to get them for winter vacations. And those who need them for business travel too.
My husband appllied for his passport recently ......a blue one 
( thanks flames) absolutely zilch for problems. He went into the office and had 'er in exactly 20 days as promised. Passport Canada is doing an awesome job.
