My fiancé's interview is in one week, December 12th. He's nervous. Ryan's usually not the type to worry, but this visa has made him the worrying type. Ha. Weird how some things can change a man. wink.gif

Anyway, any suggestions to help him not be so nervous? Any way to calm his fears? I'm usually the one that worries about any and everything. I keep telling Ryan NOT to worry, that he will do fine... We did everything by the book.

This visa has brought on a lot of ups and downs in our relationship, and now that the time is drawing near, it's getting harder, shouldn't it be easier? helpsmilie.gif

u may let him join this forum and he can ask questions about his worries...VJ members helped me feel ok cos i got lots of worries before...i learned a lot in here. But it's normal, just be always with him, tell him, it's gonna be ok. talk to him more and give him assurance that everything's gonna be alright..let him be what he is , just answer the questions honestly and know each others' whereabouts. nobody's denied except if the relationship is not genuine, and if there's lacking or something wrong in ur papers...too seldom smile.gif

We did a lot of practice interviews using all the questions I could find here on VJ and elsewhere online, just so that he knew what to expect and felt comfortable answering those questions. Also, he told the CO right off the bat that he had never been interviewed formally before, so he hoped the CO would have patience with him if he seemed nervous or wasn't getting to the point.

Also remind your fiance that it's not the end of the world. I kept telling O not to worry, if the consulate denied us or messed with us, we would just find another way to be together and make a life together.

Oh, and I told him to breathe deeply. I tried to get him to do yoga, but he didn't go for that.... smile.gif

I'd tell him that the NOA2 was the real approval, and he should be happy, the interview is the easy part! Tell him rather than worrying, he should be looking forward to his new life with you in the US. Focus on the possitive! smile.gif

Mandi I am sure you and Ryan have discussed possible questions that may be asked at the time of the interview. Just tell him to relax, be confident, and have all proofs readily available and he should do fine. Good luck!
