Friends:
I'm curious how long the medical exam and police reports are valid.
From what I can read, it just says it must be recent.
Are these something that we can go ahead an get done awhile. Does the Canadian consulate care whether we do this ahead of when they mail out the packet?

I'm fairly certain that the medical is good for one year. That being said, some doctors won't do it until you have the letter to demonstrate that you need the medical. Also, if you end up Adjusting Status in the U.S. after getting a K3 you can use the same medical if it isn't more than a year old, so it would probably be best to wait - there isn't a benefit that I can see to doing it this early in the process.
The police certificate is good for 6 months or 1 year. I can't remember which.
All in all, it is probably best to wait until you have an approved petition - you will have plenty of time between NOA2 and the interview.

I'm trying to find out this info too. I already have my Police Certificate. I found a Doctor in Edmonton who does the Immigration Physicals. I booked an appointment for Dec 12, I'm not sure if I should go or cancel it. I haven't received my package yet.
