Do we have to submit both forms 1040 and W-2 during the interview?

Which interview are we talking about, your profile has no details in it such as filed for, foreign country, service center you are using.

Are you talking about Adjustment of status, or visa interview?

If you are talking about the K-1 Interview, I was told by Consulate in Brazil that I would need Copy of last years Tax return with W-2.

You do not have to, however, a tax return submission may be considered incomplete without inclusion of all forms, schedules and attachments. A W-2 will substantiate the wages amount entered on the tax form.

Read the form because I do not believe that the I-134 even asks for the submission of your past 3 year tax returns but this can be used as additional proof of income.

Better than copies of 1040,W2,1099 forms. Get past 3 years transcripts from the IRS, they are free.

Submit either an IRS tax transcript or a complete copy of the tax return as filed with the IRS. A complete tax return will often include more that just the Form 1040.

even though the I-134 does not require ITR and W-2, it may be requirement of the Embassy. check your packet or your Embassy's website.
