first of all...sorry if i posted in wrong forum...figured this is the best place...now my questions are:
i called nvc and they said they sent application to moscow embassy and gave me embassy #01174957285000 and said that i need to deal with embassy now...
so i called the embassy today and she gave me another number: 1888 222 5673...turns out they charged me for this call...asked the lady about status and they said they would make inquiry to consulate unit and to call back monday....does this sound right or do i need to call another number?
anyone ever rescheduled the k1 interview to a later date?
Thanks in advance!

The 888 number is the contact number assigned for the Moscow embassy (via a call center I believe)
http://moscow.usembassy.gov/consular/consu...cord_id=concontDo you even have a scheduled interview yet? You do not need to reschedule until you first have one.

When an interview has been scheduled, they will let her know. You do not need to call them.

I saw from your timeline your application just left NVC last week. You need to give it some time. It will be a few weeks at least until your interview date will show up on the Moscow embassy web site. Keep checking and be patient. Don't waste your time and money calling them. If it makes you feel better send them an e-mail.

You do have to wait for them to schedule her interview first. That said, it's relatively easy to postpone the interview.
Just call the embassy, say "my name is..... her name is.... case number is.... we need to push it back because..... (medical reason, school finishing, moving, etc.)" and they'll say back "OK. Your new interview date is: XX/XX/XXXX"
Wait for the interview date first though, you never know, it might not be until the time you want to push it back to.

Be warned that it is unlikely they will move it back a day or two, or a week, or whatever, to meet your convenience. They are much more likely to move it back to when it is convenient for them (what are you going to do, go to another embassy?).
If you pass on the interview date they give you, you may simply move to the very back of the line. Given that interviews can be scheduled 3 months in advance (my wife's was), deciding to pass on an interview date may delay you another three months.
Personally, I wouldn't delay unless it is simply unavoidable.
Cheers!
