we've just gotten our co-sponsor's taxes.. he is a single person with NO dependants. last year, he made $16,306. However, he has gotten a job that will put him over the minimum of $16,500 for this year. as long as we have letters and paystubs to prove that he'll be over the minimum for this year, will that be okay? i am unemployed for the time being.. which doesn't help the situation.
thanks.
rachel.
(ps: this all makes me feel like i have to throw up.. sad.gif

As long as he makes over the 125% poverty guideline for 3 people you, your fiance, and your co-sponser for this year then he should be fine. They will need his income taxes for the last 3 years though. By the time your petition reaches the Embassy it will be 2007 so by then they will want to see that he made enough for this year. So if that's the case you will be fine.

Why for Rachel also?

Additional sponsors need to show enough income for their own household plus the immigrant.

Rachel is a USC and doesn't need sponsorship.

yeah you are right. Racheal you will be fine as long as your co-sponser can prove he or she made enough for the immigrant and everyone in there household.
