I know it is a request for additional information but what exactly does it mean? Request for evidence?????

If you get an RFE, it will tell you what they are looking for. It can be for something on the list you forgot to submit, or additional information needed to prove your case, the way I understand it. Not everyone gets one.

They can also request a copy of something you did remember to send it or the originals of the copies you sent in. Never know when the ajudicator might want something, but most cases seem to go through without an RFE.



I was afraid I would get one. My fiance's picture was a little smaller than the required photo. I had the short form only of my BC (but did include all pages of my passport). Or I saw that a couple of people received RFEs for the beneficiary's birth certificate which of course I did not send.



You can drive yourself crazy that there is something wrong when there is nothing. RFEs won;t slow down the approval too much if you can send in the information right away aftere receiving it.
