Hi,

For those that went through the K-1 process recently, did you need your docs(birth certificate, etc.) translated into English for the interview in Casa? In reading the instructions for the paperwork to bring to the consulate, it stated that all docs not in English must be translated. huh.gif I thought that docs submitted in the native language were acceptable. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks,
Christine

Indeed documents in the native language/languages are acceptable for most consulates. I still advise you to inquire directly with the one in Casa... so you know for sure what to do.

my fiance had to get his birth cert and police report translated into english because we are dealing with the US consulate. also...if you have anyone from there write letters stating any support about your relationship like my fiance did and it is written in something other than english...that has to be translated as well. wont take it in their native language.

all documents for Casa *are* required to be translated into english... if you need some certified translators names, let us know... we can pass them on - they are also available thru the consulate.
