it's cold here too!

Brrrrrr.....it's cold in here. There must be some Toros in the atmosphere.

Still warm here in Philly! Suppose to drop a little tonight, but it's not supposed to get below 40 the next two weeks. This rain/wind/snow storm thing that has hit almost everyone is supposed to miss philly. Apparently it's supposed to go to the north, so all we are expecting is snow and possibly a little rain. I wanted snow!!!

Janine, I would be more than happy to send you the cold from California.

I am so dry from all the cold etc. I feel like a big raisin!!! It's really quite awful and I'm going to have to pick up a humidifier tonight after work to see if that will help. I've drank so much water but apparently it's not enough.

still warm here, but due for some hellacious storms today and getting cooler tonite - nothing like you northerners are getting tho! No scooter for me today Have a good one everyone!

Are you serious? I was po'd 'cause it's about 63 outside this morning. I hate that. If it's been cold, let it stay that way until spring. I hate this cold one day hot the next stuff.



I rolled outta bed late today and got to work. I have a ton of stuff to get done. Our school shuts down the day before Christmas until after New Year's so now there are all these deadlines to get reports out. I long for the days where I can come in and surf the net again!!!

I had to work last night- part of a film series. I showed the film Le Grande Voyage. Its a beautiful film about a French-Moroccan father and son who take a road trip from France to Mecca for Hajj. (It was filmed everywhere from france to Meccas as well. Part of it was filmed in Morocco too!)



It's a community event and there is always a dicussion afterwards. Everyne loved the film, but there was this one guy - who wanted to turn it into a debate on Islam. In the audience I almost met someone who works part time with us at night who is an American born Libyan. That was nice.



I didnlt get home uuntil 10.30 and I stayed up til nearly 1. so now I am too tired to really get up and work, but tis a long day for me. Yuck!

Sorry for weather report but Okla City basically shut down, 27 with sleet all night and so far this morning now beginning to be a mixture sleet/snow basically everything is shut down school/state government Air force base etc. and since okla is know for unusual weather yes it is thundering with the sleet

So today I go to the dentist again. The temporary cp on my tooth is loose and very uncomfortable. So I am going in for a few minutes to get it fixed. The stupid woman on the phone apolgized a thousand times that my mother's birth certificate wasn't there by noon yesterday, yet there is nothing she can do until 1 today. that's such BS. I paid for dang overnight delivery service and now it's been two nights and it has delayed my mother three weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just want to scream! So if they deliver it today by noon, I am going to call and still demand a refund. I didn't pay $15 for two day service. I could've sent it regular mail and gotten it there today, but I needed it there yesterday so my mother could do her thing this morning. Okay enough of me going off on the post office.

Yeah, don't trust USPS special services. I've found that sending something express mail actually takes it longer to get there (if I'm sending it anywhere close by) than it does just to send it regular mail.

Oh, and here it's supposed to be almost 80 degrees today. I hope some of the cold front makes it this way! It doesn't feel like it's almost December.

Some of you may really appreciate this tale. Moh called DOS again yesterday. The woman would only answer "I don't know". He got really frustrated because she just wouldn't even bother researching our case... just said "I dont know". Finally he asked her "Well, do you know ANYTHING at all????" Evidentally this offended her.

I woke up to a chilly 9 degrees outside. I can't believe this is happening so early in the year but it had better be November weather in January!

Nothing more from the consulate, doctors office, nothing. I wrote Casa yet again, and actually got an out of office reply saying they are busy and will reply in the order it was recieved. Well lets see, I sent them e-mails from 8/05 that they have never answered, so I had better not hold my breath.

On another note . . . I could be getting a new project which is based in the Columbus, Ohio area. I might have to fly up there next week, but am hoping for remote work after that . . . of course, I might not get on the project anyway due to my vacation at the end of the year which will have me out from the 21st of the Month (hard to believe we are talking December . . . where did the time go?? I just barely had Halloween and T'day!!!). But I hear they are desperate for resources . . . and I can deliver the code that they need .

Good for him! Maybe if he keeps calling, it'll light a fire at some point to at least get someone to check your case. I hope you get good news really soon.
