Good morning everyone. I'm getting closer to acclimating back to my own time. Managed to sleep until 4:30 instead of 3 like yesterday!! Going to start my nursing studies here shortly and get some breakfast. Then go into the office early to see what they did while I was away, and what I have to do to clean it up

It was so hard to drag my a$$ out of bed this morning. Five days off of just relaxing..... I miss it already!

I'm dreading going back to the clinic after having 4 days off. I was so far behind last week I couldn't see straight....now I will have more added to the pile. Keeping my fingers crossed that it was a healthy weekend for everyone

I think it will be a relaxing morning at work for me!! I did painting and gardening this past weekend so I am sore!!! Digging up bushes and cutting back others to prepare the garden for a long (lol, not really in Texas) winter. And I need to run out to the garden supply to buy some more mulch to spread around so my few plants that survived the drought will be able to survive freezing temperatures on the way!

Just walked upstairs with coffee in hand . . . and I am on the bench right now, lol! Just a bit of cleanup for the other project and that is it for my work this week so far. Although, I do have to update resume big time and all those other documents that they require us to do for reviews, etc. Hmmm, wonder if I'll have time to do my docs to get a promotion . . . I haven't been on the bench in a long time so I am certain that they'll try to find me something to suck up the time. I'm hoping that a training class in HR stuff will be on the horizon to get me ready for a rumored long-term engagement on an HR based account.

Good Morning. That was a wicked long weekend! Good but long. I woke up on Saturday morning thinking it was Sunday because my alarm went off at 7 instead of 11. But when I realized it was only Saturday I went back to sleep and had this really wierd/scary dream about my full time job. Well I am back at work, and I just feel off... My back is hurting and I feel like I am coming down with something. I was trying to hook up my new iPod mini to the computer here at work so I can listen to my music, but my company only lets me download certain things. Oh well. Nothing much going on. Tonight I am starting my new position at my second job. Yay! Finally, I don't have to deal with a lot of customers. Well I am going to go. Gotta balance before lunch. Hope you all had a good weekend, and I hope you all have a good day.

I'm the odd duck who is happy to be back at work today. Too much alone thinking time over the long weekend. Busy as heck today so not much time to think of anything else. Hope everyone has a great week.

Monday, i gotta work 12-8....the bank will more than likely be sooo slow.....but...my birthday is tomorrow and im SOOOOOOOO excited to see what the hubster has in store....and only 4 more days til my MIL arrives...i hope she brings me some good gifts (is that wrong to say) lol....im kidding, im am thrilled that she will be by my side for 3 months...she is the best

I'm ok with being back at work, too. Just so much laying around watching movies one can do. I spent the entire weekend (Wed. evening-Sunday evening) with my oldest gf, Jackie. It was sooo relaxing...maybe a little too relaxing. We did see Borat as planned...OMG I laughed throughout the entire movie! The naked wrestling scene made me laugh so hard I was choking.

Had a dr appt in the morning and got a formal diagnosis of what is ailing me. He originally thought it to be Lupus but now he said it is Polymyalgia Rheumatica , whatever the heck that is. He wants me to start on prednisone but I'll wait till I get back from Egypt.

Here at work now. Was psyched 'cause I am sick of doing nothing too.

I almost forgot! I spoke with Lynne (Dixie Peach) last night and she wanted me to say hello to the MENA crowd for her!

where has she been? i remember seeing her when i first came to vj and she like disappeared.

You drove her away. It was your incessant posting of jokes all over OT.

Haven't heard of it either, but using the power of google, according to the Mayo Clinic, it may go away in a year or two. Hooray!

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE.... do some research and try if at all possible to stay *AWAY* from prednisone... that is one harsh drug on your system. Just my 2 cents from watching some clients on it over the years - it's nasty, but i guess if you have no other choice, then you just have to. But yes, at least wait til your return from Egypt. Good luck w/ all that.

Yeah my mom is against my taking it. She's an RN and has heard things too. She has MS and takes methotrexate for it which is just awful the first few days after you take it but I guess prednisone has some nasty side effects.

Today is the first slow day that I had at work in the longest time so I have a chance to post a little...Must say that the weekend went by pretty fast but it was great...Both of us loved Boston...Such a beautiful city...so many places to see, things to do and fresh seafood to eat. Nothing better then lobster and crab cakes during Thanksgiving weekend...I had a great time and hope to return one day...I am giving some serious thought to relocating and definitely will take Boston under consideration...Hope that everyone had a great weekend and good holiday...

my last day of teaching was the thursday BEFORE thanksgiving, so it was real shock to the system to be back to those little seventh grade heathens today... can i make it back tomorrow? i don't know!! AAACK. I hope I have some good news, oh at about 5 in the morning, to make my day better

My son is in 7th grade.
All I can say is thank you.
I could never handle a class of 7th graders for one period, much less a whole day.

My son and I made some pumpkin bread tonight. I took it out of the oven about 5 minutes ago.
