Our K3 app has reached the Mumbai Consulate. Our I-130 [IV app] is at its final stage at NVC. We have decided to go the greencard route and abandon the K3. So the question is, do I need to do anything to cancel the K3 application? or is it Ok if we stop responding to any K3 related receipts/notifications sent by the mumbai consulate?

You can slow things down via the packets from the consulate for the K-3. You can also inform the consulate that you would like to wait for the CR-1 as it is almost complete at NVC.

just email or write to them and tell them you're going to wait on the CR1.

I agree just contact them and tell them you are wishing to pursue the CR1.
