What's in Packet 4? Is this what people are using to refer to getting a piece of paper with an interview date on it from the Embassy. Is that what Packet 4 is?

I have Packet 3 at the moment and have completed Step 1 and I am working through the rest. It has occurred to me that I have not been asked to provide any supporting documents or information on my fiancee as of yet, however I have heard of people taking their fiancee's birth certificate, pictures, proof of relationship etc to the Embassy interview.

Perhaps Packet 4 asks for this kind of information and to bring it to the interview? Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about this that they can pass on? My interview will be at the US Embassy in London.

Thanks

Packet 4 is your interview letter and appointment date, a (useless) map and a brief overview of what you need to take to the interview. Packet 3 has all the information you need. It was on the checklist you had to sign and return to the embassy.

So does Packet 4 tell me to take proof of relationship, copies of my NOA1 & NAO2, pictures and my fiancee's birth certificate to the interview, along with providing the (useless) map ?

Packet 3 does not tell me I need any of this information or documentation on the checklist or elsewhere in the literature.

Thanks.

Nope it doesn't. Just repeats the information in packet three.

I was only asked for these items at the interview. I was not asked for NOA1/2 or my fiance's BC. They DO ask for proof of relationship though, depending on how your interview goes, so take that anyway.

BTW packet 3 DOES say he will need his OWN BC and a copy.

Thanks Mags, that's the information I was after. good.gif

BTW, I am the "he" that you talk about - its my interview that I am going to and I know I need my birth certificate (being the beneficiary) but it doesn't say I need my American fiancees tongue_ss.gif

Okay YOU are the beneficiary...I did get a bit confused. biggrin.gif At first I thought you meant the USC's BC...which you don't need of course.

That's why I added my edit...just in case! Btw, take a copy of your Police Cert too, they then give you back the original. They are happy with copies of the BC as long as you take the original with you aswell.
