Dear VJ friends,

Does anyone who has/will have interview in Vancouver know who sets the interview date? The Consulate or the foreign fiance?

Also, the NOA2 says the approval is valid for 4 months. What does this validity period means? Does that mean the interview has to take place within 4 months of the NOA2 date? What if the interview is set after 4 months of the NOA2 date? Thanks for reading my post and waiting for your kind reply.

Timeline:

NOA1: Aug 22
NOA2: Nov. 8

From what I've heard Vancouver is pretty good with interview dates, however in the end the consulate is the one who sets the date.
I've heard many times of the Beneficiary emailing Vancouver with a few date choices. They seem usually to be able to fit you in to your preferred date if you give them enough notice (seems like a month is standard?)

If the interview takes longer than 4 months after the NOA2 date (it does in many many other countries but usually not Canada) the consulate will automatically extend the validity of the NOA2.
