Hello,

Just a quick question. Is it still required for them to bring the dreaded X-Ray to the POE? I know I've read here and there that nobody is ever ask for it but just wanted to be sure.

I did, just roll it up for easier storage. Nobody asked to see it though.

Thank you Karen. I'm just a tad bit excited too. I've been cleaning like a mad woman. I think it's more because I don't know what to do with myself so every time I sit down and jump back up to clean something.

That's like asking 'Do you still beat your wife?', although much less sinister.

My wife was not given her x-ray, it's not necessary. Neither consular officers nor CBP officers nor CIS officers are trained to read x-rays. They look at the x-ray report that is one of the medical exam papers if they want to know what the x-ray showed.

If the x-ray does show something it's a good idea to keep it as a baseline against which to compare future x-rays.

I didn't bring mine and wasn't asked for it. Actually, I was instructed to not even take it to the interview at the consulate, which I didn't, and wasn't asked for it.

Not that I can say what we did but I have read you don't need to carry it but most have just rolled it up and put it in the case.

It never was required to bring the dreaded x-ray to the POE.
