I don't have much in the way of savings..I work for the post office..lol..I make decent money...is the savings amount that important?..Thanks

While they look at the whole package, as long as your income meets minimum requirements you will be ok.

I will keep it simple, since I make more than 2 times the poverty line.
I will do this:
- I-134 Notarized
- Past 3 years tax transcripts.
- Letter from my employer showing income, job description, permanent, on company letterhead.
- Recent pay stubs.
The tips here about Affidavit of Support are useful.

When it comes to this form give them enough to show that you can support your fiance, but not so much that it will give them things to ask more questions about.

i make only a few grand above the poverty line. I included my 2005 tax return, a letter from employer, and a letter the bank.... I-134 is not a big deal as long as your over poverty line and can prove it with at least 2 pieces of evidence.
