I am so gld to hear that it cleared and that a number has been issued and I know that it is very hard on you and your loved one. I can only pray that God will continue to help you and bring your loved one to you very soon. I know that they say everything happens for a reson and most of the time we are unsure of the reason. I know GOd has a bigger plan then we can ever imagine, please keep the faith and know that you will be blessed very soon.

Why is it taking so bloody long??? (Ok probably doesn't seem long to anyone else, unless you have a hyperventillating Egyptian grilling you for 2+ hours a day in full blown meltdown because he's sure the world will come to an end before he ever gets to travel.)

it is a good thing they said he cleared. now you need to try and get ahold of cairo and see what info they have, tell them what dos told you and maybe that will kick em up.....................i am keeping my fingers crossed for you!!!!!

once the DOS completes their review, the consulate supposedly has a "visa meeting". I don't know if Cairo would subscribe to that workflow or not. The conversation with the DOS sounds positive to me though.

Okay so this is a good step right? you are so close. I can not image how the frsutration must be taking its toll on both of you. Can;t wait to see the posting "visa in hand"!

I hope they give him the visa soon! You two have been waiting long enough. I hope I come on one morning in the next week to see he got the visa. Be patient. Good things come to those who wait, or so they say.

I think Cairo has their "visa meeting" the end of every month. So looks like no Thanksgiving here but I'll remain hopeful for the first part of December. Yes, I was relieved to hear the word "cleared" and that there is a number sitting out there with his name on it.

Any other Cairo veterans know if that's the correct timing of their meeting? (sorry but my patience has just run out... I just want to know WHEN)
