If you are worried that will be denied your visa because of UTI, don't worry.

That is not one of the medical issues that is grounds for denial. They are more concerned with diseases and illnesses that put others at risk such as AIDS, etc.

And, yes, UTI's are quite common for women. If they become bothersome, though, I would definitely talk to your doctor about how to keep them under control.

Good luck.

okies...my fiance believes that im healthy, that's what i felt too...others have suggested that i should go and have executive check up in a hospital...the purpose is to check if there might be a problem with me..i dont feel any problem but that's what they have said..

were u able to undergo medical exams before the st' luke exam? would only be a waste of money right?

I'm doing my annual gynecological exam before my medical for the visa. Here in Brazil the doctors require a pap smear for the medical.

Is this question for real? How on earth could they deny a visa for a UTI? What grounds would you think they have to do so?

UTIs are completely normal for females, especially b/c we have shorter urethras than men. they are more looking for something like bird flu or HIV.

It's a real fear. Lot's of rumors and misinformation swirl around the Philippines regarding visa interviews. My Sheryl got worried about the same thing. It took me awhile to convince her UTI is not grounds for denial. She has a friend who was denied on medical grounds a few years back. I asked well what did she have? She said I don't know. I said well why don't you ask her? She said that something like that was private and it was none of her business, asking would be disrespectful and impolite. If the friend shares what she had fine. But, you just don't come out and ask something like that. So as you can see it can be pretty easy for a woman in the Phils to get worried about these things.

It's not "normal" but it's common. To be sure just have a urinalysis & all you really need is a 7 day course of antibiotics if found positive. But as other people have told you, it's not ground for denial.
