Put some oil into my car and was able to get it to start this morning. It's only been 4,000 miles since my last oil change, but I guess old cars have to get it done more often??? Anyway, I'll be taking it to Jiffy Lube during my lunch hour.

That's about it from me. Just work. Have a super Tuesday!

Yeah, my car tells me too and I used to get well over 5,000. Either the gauge is broken or I've been even more unobservant than usual. Or it's another problem entirely, but I'm guessing that since it started when I put in some oil that must be the problem. unsure.gif

Oh well, next time I will not pretend that the little sticker that they give me is just a ploy to get my money. laughing.gif

It also deends on howlong it takes you to drive 3000 miles and how much of that is just sitting in traffic- stop and go driving. I put 3000 miles in 6 months so I change it every 3-4 months instead. My dad swears its the cheapest way to keep a car running forever

Nope, I haven't notice a new format either. So I guess you are on your own on that one, Noura!

Reminds me . . . I need to change my oil too! The date on my sticker is about 3 months gone . . . but I put that down to . . . working out of town or working from home!! LOL, I have not driven out to the office in 3 weeks since my latest client is located in Colorado and they wont pay for travel (boo!!! one trip might have been fun to pick up the free beer everyone says to bring them, hehe) so I get to do it all remotely (yeah!!!).

Soooooooooo, when someone gets in my car and notices it is 5 years old and the mileage is less than 50,000 miles . . . they are like, WOW, don't you every go anywhere??? hehehe, I take road trips a few times a year but I get to skip the daily commute lots of times (hey, several weeks a year out of town using a rental car does save on your own car).

Update coming today . . . stay tuned.

It's been 12 days since my fiance's interview and 7 days since he finally gave them the rest of the things that they wanted. They told him he will get the call in 1-2 weeks. Everytime the phone rings, I get all excited because it may be 'the call'. I want him here for Thanksgiving. This whole process is about waiting, then getting exicted about each step along the way-waiting for the NOA1, more waiting, RFE, more waiting, NOA2, more waiting, NVC, more waiting, Packet 3, more waiting, Interview, more waiting. And of course, that is only the first part of this process-we get to start it all again when he does eventually get here. Not that I have to reiterate this for all of you. We're all in the same boat.

Waiting for this call seems to be the hardest part so far. We are so close to being together again, but knowing how unpredictable Casa is, 'close' could be anywhere from a week to months. ClockWatch2.gif

I try to keep myself busy so I don't think about it. When I do think about it, it just drives me crazy!

I need to find a place to go scream here at work. I think the only option available is to go to my car. girlwerewolf2xn.gif ranting33va.gif

it's referred to as kcmo and kck. kcmo = kc missouri and kck = kc kansas. it has a mayor for each side of the river too tongue.gif

that's what happens when someone starts a town on a river that also serves as the state boundary.

KCMO or KCK-I lived on both sides. Kansas City is a great city. I also lived in Manhattan, KS. Made many trips back and forth to see my now ex-husband. KCK is better IMO than the MO side. Just tell him to stay clear of Prospect Ave. blink.gif

Checking on Flights from Cairo to DFW now for the hubster. . . well, I am sending him off to a travel agent in Cairo that is used by my friends to see what flights are available on Lufthansa (I want him to go thru immigrations in DFW) . . . so I told him to think about Tues or Wed next week. Gets too expensive over the weekend.

INSHA'ALLAH!!!

I'll have an update on impending arrival . . . but it looks like we won't have this pinned down for another couple of days PLUS he has a long list of things that he is going to get for me before coming, LOL!!

I have a long list of things to do before he gets here. . . . let's see now . . . CLEAN the house (can I twist someone's arm to come help me, hehe??), buy some new pillows (silly I know, but I threw out old ones), hang those new vertical blinds in the bedroom, go get a facial and maybe a massage (ok, that's for me . . . i need to relax!!).

INSHA'ALLAH.

BTW, by special request he is going to find me the song where the woman (or is it a man???) sings Insha'allah all the time. Insha'allah, he will remember that one, hehe!

He/she may not make it out alive. unsure.gif Take your pick: random bullets, carjackings, rape, murder, crack addicts-any of which is reason enough to not take a cruise down Prospect.

On a happier note, Westport is a must to frequent! It's like it's own little town of drinking establishments, night clubs and a great place to people watch!

Oh-and the Plaza. Definitely a must to visit too. Especially at Christmas time. It is decorated soooooooo beautifully. And it's a great place to go shopping.

KC is known as the City of Fountains as well. There are a lot of beautiful things there. Not to mention home of the KC Chiefs!!!!!!!!! Go Chiefs!

This is the time to splurge, hire someone to come in and clean, get the groceries delivered, and anything else that can make the next several days/week less stressful.

Congrats to you!!!

I need to find a place to go scream here at work. I think the only option available is to go to my car. girlwerewolf2xn.gif ranting33va.gif

Yep, that is expensive. I found some cheaper airfares on lufthansa's website, so I know we can get it cheaper than 17,777 EGP, LOL . . . more like 7700 to 7000 EGP . . . but it has gotten a bit higher than it used to be.

Just tell him to stay clear of Prospect Ave. blink.gif

now tell her why whistling.gif

Go Chiefs!

nowadays, westport is getting a reputation for a place the police visit quite often due to something going on there.

I should have put a disclaimer that I haven't lived there since 1994! blush.gif I'm sure a lot has changed. Does Prospect still have the same reputation?
