For those guys who's lady worked, at what point in the process did they tell their empolyer that they would eventually be leaving the job?

Anna is in a very stressful job and I have offered to support her so she could quit but she will not take me up on my offer but I am curious as to when most others told their boss that they would be leaving their job. Just curious.

Paul misses Anna

Mine told her boss several months ago. Today she told me she wants to quit as soon a possible to get everything done.

Galina told them when she returned from Moscow. She wanted to have the interview done and know that she was getting visa. I did the same and offered support if she would quit but it's a different culture. Count on no one and words mean nothing. Remember the past of the Russians. It's then easy to understand why they can be so distrusting (maybe not the best word but you get the idea) sometimes.

I'd say follow the advice of waiting until a visa interview is at least scheduled. This is a long and drawn out process and the stress can have devasting effects on a relationship. She should wait until it is just about a done deal. She should plan to give notice and try to leave on a good footing. Unfortunately, sometimes they return to their home country and will need that job back, if it is available. However, notifying the employer too early in the process can often spell disaster. They do not have the job safety of America and unfortunately, many male employers look for ways to take advantage of female employees over there.

She should be prepared to work until the last week or two before she leaves. This gives her stability and control over her life, which will change when she arrives here. Then she will be totally dependent upon you for quite some time.

This has been an interesting issue for my wife since she has been here. She is surprised that...so far...when someone tells her they will do something it gets done!

Believe me I understand the whole uncertainy thing which is why I do not push the point very hard. I understand it but it can still be very frustrating. I hope it is something that will eventually diminish over time if not completely disappear. This might be wishful thinking but it is good to have hope, hehe.

Paul misses Anna

It was hard for me to understand in the beginning when I started this journey. She only believes what is in front of her. And when I've sent her packages that have taken months to get there she is so cool about it. And here I'm going crazy about it and she understands. The past of Russia truly does help me understand why things are the way they are in Russia. I just dont understand about the men. So many good beautiful women. Russian women and American men. How much better can get be ?

I would just let her decide. Understand that until she has the VISA in one hand and you in the other hand, she may not want to burn her bridges. I have offered the same to my fiance, but I respect her decision to quit when she thinks it's right for her so I don't bug her about it at all.

Dudes divorced Halle Berry. Halle freaking Berry! One of the most beautiful women in the world, and they thought she wasn't good enough.

Now, if you've got it like that to be not only making sweet love to, but actually married to, Halle Berry, why would you ever break it off?

Plain and simple, if you could get Halle Berry, you can get another one just as good.

And in Russia, there are literally millions just as good as the one you've got! Your beautiful, intelligent, perfect girlfriend/wife gives you any grief.... no big deal, there are plenty more to take her place.

At least that's the way I see the Russian man's logic. Same as Eric Benet's or David Justice's. There are more fish in the sea. I also see another possibility. When you break it down to the very bottom line, even Halle Berry has to take a dump every-now-and-then. That takes the glamour away really quickly and instantly places her in the same boat as every other person on this planet. She's not so special now, is she?

When I was in Moscow, I met up with a group of guys and girls. The guys were interested in getting drunk on Red Square and partying with me and my buddy way more than they were interested in the beautiful girls that were accompanying them. We were perplexed, and inquired "What are you guys doing just leaving these fine-### b!^@#e$ behind to get drunk with a bunch of dudes?" They answered, "Don't worry about these whores. We just met them. We'll find plenty more tonight!"

I think that pretty much sums it up.

...but after living with one who turned into a selfish, self-centered, self-absorbed harridan after immersing herself into the American culture... I could totally understand the feelings of the Russian man... aka: "I don't give a damn how good looking she is, she's still someone else's headache... and a royal pain in the @ss"
